Make a statement with your black and white photos

Don’t you love black and white photo walls? Black frames are the best match for black and white photos; they don’t have to match in style or shape, the colour will instantly unify them.

Start by laying your photo collection on the floor in a shape your happy with: rectangular, single or multiple straight rows, diamond, heart shape, etc., whatever works for you is fine. Play around with your photos until you’re happy with the balance and story you wish to tell and then replicate it on the wall using this technique.

These make quite a statement don’t they?

Ohh I love it! I'm in the (slow) process of creating a photo wall like this in my hallway. I have all the frames, but not the photos to go in them lol!

That could work even without the photos. I love the look of various types, styles and sizes of frames displayed ton-sur-ton or in a contrasting colour. Fab!

Black and white all clustered look really nice...almost a dramatic effect.

Ohhhhh, love black and white photos, and love the different ways the styles are displayed here. Totally agree that they make a statement - bold without trying too hard to be bold. Do you know what I mean? ;-)

Sarah Gray Miller, editor of Country Living Magazine, decorated her kitchen cabinets with old B/W family photos. Very eclectic. Love to hear what you think...
