I have taken a break away from the blog but after four days of not posting anything I was starting to show withdrawal symptoms. :) Well, here I am back for my daily décor fix with wall  painted stripes.

I am by nature an optimistic person and sometimes underestimate how tricky and time consuming certain jobs can be. Painting an accent wall with stripes in six colours of paint in my living room was just that – tricky and time consuming. I designed the pattern on my PC, armed myself with masking tape, a spirit level, a pencil and a ruler and off I went. It has taken me a couple of days and it’s not ready yet, I am still missing half a dozen stripes to complete the project. I have been redecorating my living room (all will be revealed soon) and taken the inspiration from these two images. My once pale yellow walls are now taupe and I have will have a striped wall. I am really happy with the outcome so far so stay tuned for the big reveal.
