I was totally wowed by the talented Boston interior designer Frank Roop’s portfolio. I must of spent a good couple of hours looking through is fabulous “couture” interiors before I even got to his bio.

One of my favourite articles on the second edition of Lonny Magazine (page 125) is the feature on interior designer Vanessa de Vargas’ 1920s beach bungalow.

Having started as a creative director and photo stylist Gary Spain now focuses on styling and designing interiors. Gary is definitely not your beije and taupe interior designer, you cannot help being wowed with his striking interiors.

The last two interior designer features have been about designers who make abundant use of strong and bold colours in their interior design projects. It was love at first sight when I found New York based designer Jamie Drake. Called by many the “king of colour”, Drake has been perfecting his unique style for over 30 years. Original combinations, bold colour and eclectic furnishings reflect Drake’s unique design style, filled with loads of character.

Pierre Paulin, the designer of some of the most iconic furniture in the twentieth century, passed away at the age of 81 on June 13 in Montpelier, in southeast France.

I came across Amanda Nisbet in Decor8 and immediately her fresh looks and bold colour combinations reminded me of another favourite, the queen of colour, Tricia Guild. Amanda is daring and fun with colour and manages to nail down to perfection every interior design project she touches. She has created a style of her own where even the most classic interiors she showcases all have a cutting edge twist.
