Marga (short for Margarita) is one of the wonderful and talented “home owners” I have been fortunate to discover through Flickr. She was born in the warm and sunny Spain but currently lives and works in the not so warm or sunny London. Marga whose background is in graphic design, created a range of beautiful bags, tea towels and pillows, made from organic materials, which are available through Chocolate Creative.

I must confess it was the yellow sofa in that beautifully lit room that popped out and spoke to me when I first spotted Jan’s home in one of my favourite Flickr Groups - the Interior Styling group.

No, I’ve not started to blog in French :), Chez Larsson translates to "At the Larsson's" which is also the name of one of my all time favourite design blogs. Benita is the über-talented lady in charge of this stylish household, where she lives in with her husband Martin, teenage son Wille and two cats, Mini and Bonus. Benita describes herself as “a neat freak, an organizing fanatic and someone who truly enjoys getting her hands dirty”, she also loves DIY, gardening and renovating, sewing and crafting. Benita works ( not sure how she gets the time for all of this  :) ) as a visual merchandiser, and has used her home as an experimental lab for her many hobbies.

In Steven’s words his Chicago rental apartment is an "amalgamation of styles" which ultimately create a fabulous space full of character. The apartment’s understated décor is a brilliant compromise between Steven’s love for mid-century modern functional design pieces and his girlfriend Meredith love for antique toys, old drawers and books from the 40s.

Rodellee lives in Los Angeles and runs a little vintage shop called Adore Vintage where she sells the most beautiful vintage clothes and accessories. Although she is in to vintage items her home is surprisingly contemporary.

Jeana  Sohn is an artist living in the city of angels in California who enjoys painting, taking pictures of her daily life and writing about beautiful things in her blog.

Melissa’s describes herself as a “perpetual kid, tinkerer, admirer of unique objects and open-minded people”. She wishes she lived in Japan but instead she lives in sunny San Diego, California with her life partner, Paul. They have just moved and are currently fixing up a 1920's Moorish revival home, which is very different from her 70's apartment I am featuring in this post.

Tobias is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator living in the über stylish Copenhagen in Denmark I recently spotted in Flickr. The home he shares with his wife Hanne looks straight out of an Ikea family Life magazine, Scandinavian at its best - white walls to reflect the light with lots of beautiful colour splashes. 

Mari a native of Tokyo, Japan - “where everyone is used to smaller spaces” -  shares a small rental apartment ( 69 square metres = 750 square feet ) in California with her husband and two cats. Moving in to this apartment motivated her to learn more about home décor and Flickr was at the top of her inspiration sources along with the laid back yet sophisticated French interiors from one of her favourite books.

Rachel an “artist and mama living in Louisiana”, was the first person to come back to me excited about having her home featured on my Flickr real life homes March edition. In the various emails we have exchanged she came across as the sweetest person you can image and her home, where she lives with her husband and 2 children, is a reflection of her warm and sunny disposition.
