Designed by Bevk Perovic architects, the communication agency Avanta Lowe in Ljubljana (Slovenia) looks like my dream workplace, the agency’s colourful interiors look so cool and dynamic, I would love to work here. I have always been passionate about colour. As baby I had very little choice and had to be a very pink little person, in my teens I was just colourful, in my early 20s I was a black & white person, having moved on to blues in my late 20s. For most of my 30's I have been an orange person until Erin, from House of Turquoise, made me discover the most exquisite colours - turquoise, teal and shades of aqua.

It was love at first sight when I found New York based designer Jamie Drake. Called by many the “king of colour”, Drake has been perfecting his unique style for over 30 years. Original combinations, bold colour and eclectic furnishings reflect Drake’s unique design style, filled with loads of character.

I came across Amanda Nisbet in Decor8 and immediately her fresh looks and bold colour combinations reminded me of another favourite, the queen of colour, Tricia Guild. Amanda is daring and fun with colour and manages to nail down to perfection every interior design project she touches. She has created a style of her own where even the most classic interiors she showcases all have a cutting edge twist.

My latest decorating project was my 3 year old daughter's bedroom and in my research I have found exactly what I did not want - plenty of themed pink princess' bedrooms. Although I do not dislike the colour pink, I loathe themed rooms. Here are a few inspirational girls bedrooms I have found in my web travels.
