Brooke Giannetti is a talented interior designer I have been following for a while via her inspiring blog I thoroughly recommend to anyone, called Velvet & Linen. A photo shoot for New Old House Magazine gave Brooke the excuse to make a few changes around her kitchen. I loved her post on remodelling her once pink and green kitchen so much that I just had to share it with you.

Further to the white hallways - yes, I am still on my white phase – I bring you white kitchens. White is timeless classic when it comes to kitchens and it works well with any accent colour you may want to use to jazz it up.

In general, I prefer eclectic interiors because in my opinion they have more character and visual appeal. That is true for pretty much all rooms in the house except for one - the kitchen. When it comes to kitchens my keen eye is immediately drawn to the clean cut contemporary style. For some reason, I need order and minimalism in my kitchen more than anywhere else in the home.
