Most people will argue that a hotel is just a place to sleep over whilst you are away from home, however, I strongly believe that whenever possible we should do it in style. There are fabulous hotels out there which can provide us with great inspiration and ideas for our homes especially for the bedroom. I would like to share with you at least one design or boutique hotel, as we call it in Europe, every week. As I could not decide on which hotel to start this series of articles with, I have had to randomly pick one from my list of favourites. Set in two beautifully converted Edwardian townhouses, the Sanctum Soho hotel is located in the trendy West End in London. The hotel’s interior has been designed by Lesley Purcell of Can Do who's worked extensively in the luxury hotel market. Lesley has drawn on classical styles whilst injecting frivolous, avant-garde elements that evoke the magic of Soho. Get your inspiration from the distinctive mood schemes discovered in the hotel's bedrooms: Dark and sultry - art deco timber veneers set against velvet.
