I love eclectic homes that have a lived look to them and Amanda has succeeded in creating just that. She seems to have a keen eye for thrifted items such as the $20 dresser she painted white and fitted Ikea knobs and handles to, or the lovely $5 chair that she re-upholstered kilt style, with scraps of fabric. Her favourite piece is the fabulous Eames-style lounge chair that she restored, the mint green tanker desk in the studio and the stretched Marimekko fabric wall art found “for a song at an antique market” according to her. I also fell in love with the moss green painted walls in the hallway and the cute “there” stool. Have a look for yourself and pick your favourite pieces.
