Flickr real life homes: Kim’s vintage “mutt” |
Kim lives in an adorable 1920’s mutt with her son (and greatest source of inspiration), husband and pooch in a town called Framingham, Massachusetts. Both her home and her business – Etsy shop called Trampoline – are a reflexion of Kim’s passion for all things vintage which is exactly what caught my eye in a recent Flickr “excursion”. In her own words, as far as inspiration goes Kim focuses on: “decorating for the way we live day to day, instead of trying to replicate the newest look in a magazine or blog. I feel like there is so much design overload right now, that it can get confusing trying to put together a 'look' for your home. So I've decided for the most part to just go with my gut, keep it simple, and live what I love”. That’s what I love about Kim’s home, it looks unassumingly stylish and feels homey and comfortable, a place to live blissful life. A few highlights:
Kim sums it up brilliantly: “What I'm truly in love with, is this feeling of home. The warmth I feel when the light falls just right through the old windows, or when I see my son running through the grass in our yard. Those are the things I can't live without.” Soo true Kim!! You must stop by her Flickr stream and Etsy shop for more vintage and beauty.
