Veronika lives in a beautiful home in Surrey, UK with her husband and little Anya, her cute and artistic daughter. The creative bug bit her from an early age “When I was a little girl my favourite activity was moving furniture in a dolls house and I still do it now” Veronika says.

She studied fashion and interior design but one day she created a big gold paper heart as a wedding gift for a friend, which she loved and that spurred up Veronika’s online business. She called it Sarah & Bendrix (after her favourite novel), a unique gift shop where Veronika sells her own “sentimental, modern, vintage, simple and beautiful” artwork creations.

Veronika’s home was one of my early Flickr finds, a favourite of many people in the community, it was love at first site for me. Reasons why? I have a soft spot for what I call understated elegance, and that’s exactly how I would class Veronika’s home, hence my instant attraction to it.
Highlights: Anya’s nursery is just sheer gorgeousness (I hope that’s a word)!!

Veronika uses texture to add interest to the understated colour palette where, occasional hints of red break the white flooded interiors, complemented by light shades of taupe and gray. Feast your eyes in her Flickr set.
