Flickr real life homes: Camilla’s understated Scandinavian home

Camilla Engman is a talented Swedish artist and illustrator who shares her home in Gothenburg with her four-legged roommate Morran (a Danish/Swedish farm dog).

True to the Scandinavian style, her home is painted white throughout with a few splashes of colour here and there. Camilla kept it almost minimal yet it feels remarkably warm and comfortable.

Overall I love her understated style, however, a few items stood out for me: the zingy yellow kitchen lamp, the Papa Bear armchair replica by Hans J Wegner – Morran looks so adorable posing on it – and the David Trubridge lamp in the living area – the geometric shadow effect is amazing.

I urge you to look through her Flickr photostream and blog for more of her home and her beautiful art. It will be a well spent feel-good hour, I promise.
