Rachel an “artist and mama living in Louisiana”, was the first person to come back to me excited about having her home featured on my Flickr real life homes March edition. In the various emails we have exchanged she came across as the sweetest person you can image and her home, where she lives with her husband and 2 children, is a reflection of her warm and sunny disposition.
Her home is kind of a work in progress and has undergone a number of changes, for example, her dining room was originally painted in a deep red, a colour she loves, however, it got changed over a year ago to a much more soothing shade of gray.
I have picked a few favourites: the red Chinese lamps against a gorgeous deep turquoise wall in the master bedroom, the armoire in the living room (a gift from her dad) and one of her beautiful paintings (above). Rachel picked as one of her favourites the 1920's buffet table she received from her grandfather as a wedding gift.
