Seventeen square metres is the size of my bedroom and I never thought of it as spacious enough to fit anything but my bed, a couple of bedside tables and a chest of drawers until I came across Zach Motl’s studio in Brooklyn.

He has patiently and cleverly turned a “grubby white box “ into a stylish home where he has created four distinct functional areas - a kitchenette, an office area, a sitting room and a bedroom – which literally live side by side. Check out the full New York Times article here.
