Flickr real life homes: Chao Camp, from bland to fab |

AB Chao lives in a beautiful three bedroom house in Monroe, Louisiana with her husband and daughter. I was so impressed with her home that at first, I took it as the work of a professional interior designer. As I dug deeper by reading her blog and finding other references to her, I realized that she was indeed a designer but not an interior designer, although in my not so humble :) opinion, her style is so cool I am sure she would be very successful if she ever went pro. The master bedroom makeover which can be followed both through Flickr and in her blog in the before and after versions, is to die for!! The bedroom went from bland to fab using most of the existing furniture rearranged and adding some lighter/brighter touches in the soft furnishings. The dramatic difference was in the deep shade of gray she chose for the walls. Pure genius! For her daughter’s bedroom - another hugely successful DIY effort - AB Chao chose a crisp white base with just enough black and red accents. This was a surprise AB put together for her daughter whilst she was at Summer camp. Three weeks later, her daughter came back to the coolest room any teenager could ask for.
