Solveig's vintage student's apartment

Solveig is a student, blogger and mum from Bergen, Norway, currently living with her two small children and boyfriend in a 65 sq m ( 700 sq ft ) rented student’s apartment. Flittiglisene is the personal blog where she writes about her life, apartment and the many creative projects she undertakes but you can also find her blogging at Norwegian Interiorblogs.

Her main sources of inspiration come from magazines such as Domino, Norwegian Elle Interior, Living etc and the Danish Boligmagasinet but also from sites such as www.lightlocations.com. Selina Lake’s Bazaar Style book is another major inspiration source.

What I initially loved about Solveig’s home was its vintage and crafted look, something I normally associate with creative and loving people. I was not wrong: “I love to make my own furniture, to paint my walls and lay my tiles. I just love the creative process of making something with my own hands and imagination” Solveig shared.

She relishes the creative process and is constantly coming up with new projects. Like many artists, Solveig is never completely happy with the outcome: “I'm never satisfied with my decorating, resulting in 5 different sofa-tables in 6 months”. However, she did clarify that her children’s bedrooms are off limits when it comes to mum’s decorating addiction. :)

Check out her Flickr set and blog for more images of her home and of her the most recent project, a cute chandelier made from wire.
