Ana's serene London apartment

Ana is a funny and creative Croatian lady who is allergic to exercise, loves books and claims to be married to the most wonderful man in universe who happens to be her “partner in crime” :) when it comes to DYI around the house. She shares a two bedroom apartment in London - the “colourful city that never made us feel like strangers” - with her husband and adorable three year old daughter Dora.

Ana has been drawn to interior design ever since she was a little girl and, unlike her friends who bought pop music magazines, she used her pocket money to buy Italian home décor magazines. These have remained a steady source of design inspiration to this date.

Ana’s home is reminiscent of the Scandinavian style, with loads of white surfaces and furniture which make the apartment look light and airy but, instead of the bright accents normally used in this style, she went for muted and serene colours. I soo love the simplicity of Dora’s candy coloured bedroom. The result is stunning!

Her husband is the talented handyman she relies on to turn her ideas into reality. He has built countless pieces around the house such as the coffee tables in the living room, Dora's toy storage, Ana’s home office desk… the list could go on and on.

Ana created her Flickr account to share the photos of Dora’s progress with her friends and family back in Croatia - hence the name “Dora iz Londona” which means “Dora from London” in Croatian - but quickly discovered a thriving creative community that never stopped to amaze and inspire her.

LOVE the white, which sets off the simple, but creative accents!

Particularly like the dotted pillows (in two different colors!) and the empty frames with the hooks, so you can change the view.

All in all... Congrats! It's Genius!
