I must confess it was the yellow sofa in that beautifully lit room that popped out and spoke to me when I first spotted Jan’s home in one of my favourite Flickr Groups - the Interior Styling group.

Jan Skácelík is talented Czech graphic designer and photographer who is into mid-century modern furniture. His home is furnished with some beautiful examples from this period he has either acquired in thrift stores or found, like the Thonet chair by the window. Jan cleverly mixes the vintage furniture with contemporary pieces resulting in beautifully edited interiors that look professionally done. Check out his full set in Flickr.
