The Pryor 300 sq. metre summer retreat in Montauk NY is an excellent example on how you can create a home to be lived and enjoyed which is both beautiful and environmentally friendly. Bates Masi + Architects, a long established architecture practice from Long Island, designed this house based on the “less construction better environment” principle. This is a prefabricated house, assembled rather than built and uses organic finishes and materials.
The double height and large sliding doors open the living area to the outdoor. I love the openess feel throughout and the fact that even when you are in the house you get the feeling that you are interacting with the outdoors.
