A few years ago Belinda Graham and her husband “bought the worst house in one of the best streets, metres from a beautiful waterfront reserve on the central coast of NSW” in Australia and have been slowly renovating it ever since.

Martha McQuade the designer behind the label UNIFORM Studio, lives in three bedroom, 1950's home in Minneapolis with her husband and two sons. Martha’s home felt spacious, light and airy so it was a surprise for me to learn that in fact it is only 1,100 sq ft ( 102 m2 ) of area.

If you follow my blog you will quickly come to the conclusion that I have a soft spot for mid-century modern style and enjoy writing about homes that have character and feel lived in. Martha’s homes definitely ticks all the boxes for me - the handpicked mid-century modern design pieces, a favourite with both Martha and her husband, add character and functional elegance to this beautiful home. 

Anne Wendlandt, is a talented graphic designer and illustrator who lives in Hanover, Germany. She runs a shop called Enna where she sells her own creations as well as hand picked designs from around the world. You can check out her creations (postcards, posters, wrapping paper, decals, brooches, etc.) both on her blog and her Etsy shop.
